Steel Fittings

Press fittings on spiral hoses are made of certified carbon steel (11SMnPb37), and range from straight ones, to 30°, 45°, 90°, and 120° ones, with drawn hexagonal or round bars. At the end of turning stage, steel fittings undergo trivalent iridescent passivation by salt mist resistant sealant. Iron fittings are commonly used in the following sectors: agriculture, manufacturing, earthmoving, drilling, waste collection, moulding, mining, forestry, oil, railway, marine, construction, compactor, and industry.

37° CONE JIC FITTINGS – SAE J514

Also known as JIC fittings, they provide sealing by metal-to-metal coupling, with a 37° flare angle without component deformation. Threads are UNF, straight.

BSPT (British standard Pipe Tapered)

Fitting seal is granted by thread interface; as seal is obtained by thread deformation, the use of sealing material is recommended.

NPT

Cone connections differ from BSPT fittings because of thread angle (55°).

BSP

Also known as BSP connections (British Standard Pipe) or Whitworth” threads, they can feature either parallel (BSPP) or cone (BSPT) thread. Fitting seal is granted by metal surfaces, with or without O-ring, at 60° profile angle for both moulds.

METRIC FITTINGS

Also known as DIN or metric fittings they provide sealing by (metal to metal) angled sealing surfaces or metal to metal ones with O-ring. Sealing surface angles are at 24°, with or without gasket.
